WHEREAS, the weeklong celebration of the 36th Charter Anniversary of the City of General Santos and Tuna Festival 2004 slated on September 1-5, 2004 is highlighted with various activities that necessitate the temporary closure of some public thoroughfares in the city;

 

WHEREAS, this Sanggunian is empowered under the law to temporarily close any local road or thoroughfare for the conduct of the activities;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, as sponsored by City Councilor Shirlyn L. Bañas, moved by City Councilor Minda L. Atendido, duly seconded by City Councilors Jose Orlando R. Acharon and Lourdes F. Casabuena, be it –

 

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to enact the following Ordinance:

 

 

ORDINANCE NO. 11

Series of 2004

 

AN ORDINANCE ALLOWING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SOME THOROUGHFARES IN GENERAL SANTOS CITY, PURSUANT TO SECTION 21 OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7160, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE OF 1991, IN LINE WITH THE CELEBRATION OF TUNA FESTIVAL 2004
